The amount of coaches and personal trainers has massively increased over the past couple of years. Each one of these coaches and trainers has accumulated their qualifications in their field. They have knowledge about training modalities, recovery methods, nutrition, what-have-you. So you need to stand out from the rest. You need to provide your clients with better results. Better performance. But how to do that when you already covered all the basics? 

Let’s think about what makes high level performers so great to find the missing link. High level performers tend to possess a mindset that is making them stand out from the rest. They possess a champions’ mindset. This mindset can be cultivated and it can be taught.

Hi, my name is Patrick Meier and I am a sport and performance psychologist who made it his mission to help as many athletes as possible to improve their performance. In the past 3+ years I have worked with 100+ athletes across Europe, some of them being among the best of the best in their respective sports. 

Throughout that process I have picked up many secrets about how the high level athlete ticks, what their specific challenges are and how to help them improve performance, overcome adversity and become an overall more resilient version of themselves.

I was shocked to find out that there is no education that teaches strength coaches how to use sport and performance psychology to improve their clients’ performance, confidence and wellbeing.

So I created one myself that does exactly that!

What Can You Expect?

The course is designed to help you coach your athletes to optimal performance. Throughout we will learn:

How to effectively communicate with your athletes, so you can find out what they are currently struggling with

  • How to analyze the information you are receiving from your athletes, so you can apply proper interventions
  • How to optimize athlete performance by addressing performance anxiety
  • How to optimize athlete wellbeing
  • How to create a resilient athlete that is able to overcome adversity

The course is set up for you to not only learn theory, but also to practice with real life cases. Therefore the course consists of:

  • 8 online lectures (each 1.5 hours long) 
  • In-session exercises to practice newly learned skills
  • Homework assignments to practice newly learned skills with your own clients
  • Targeted expert feedback on your own clients
  • WhatsApp contact between lectures

With this course I aimed at condensing all the knowledge and skills I have learned over 5 years of University studies and almost 3 years of practicing in the field and bring it to you in a digestible manner. When you completed the course you will be better equipped to coach your athletes through a wide variety of sport related struggles. They will become better performers. More resilient human beings. The price for the 8 week course is €800 (excl. VAT). Payment options can be discussed flexibly (instalment payments are possible).
The next round of the course will start in the last week of October and ends right in time for Christmas. This will be the last round of this year. In 2025 the price for the course will increase.

FAQ Resilience Coaching Course

1) Can I pay in instalments?

Paying in instalment is possible (most common options are one-time payment of 800, two-time payment of 400 each, and 4 payments 200 each) and can be discussed flexibly. This way you can follow the course without feeling financially pressured. 

2) What if I can’t attend a lecture?

If you cannot attend a lecture, then you can receive a screen recording of the class to watch back.

3) Do I receive a certificate after completing the course?

Yes! At the end of the course you will receive  certificate of completion, so you can showcase your new qualifications.

4) Do I receive help after completing the course?

After the course is completed you will still have the opportunity to ask questions and receive help and support where needed.

5) What is included in the course?

The course includes a lecture part in which you learn the right knowledge and theory, in-class exercises to apply the learned knowledge, 1-on-1 expert feedback on your own client cases, and practical homework assignments to further hone the newly learned skills.  

6) What will I learn?

At the end of the course you will be able to effectively communicate with your athletes and build a strong coach-athlete relationship.

You will learn to analyze the struggles your clients are facing (identifying patterns in thinking, feeling and behaving).

You will learn to guide them through performance anxiety (managing intrusive thoughts, regulating arousal/emotions, building confidence, etc.).

You will be able to make them more resilient in the face of adversity.

You will learn how to adjust to your clients’ unique personality.
